Our incredible dining space is unlike any others in the area for senior living. With a spacious bistro area, residents will be able to enjoy meals, snacks, or social gatherings more casually. If they re looking for a more upscale dining experience, they can head to our onsite restaurant, Jackson s Landing, where they will be formally seated and served. As the dining room manger, you play a vital role in engaging not only our residents but the rest of our team, too. Use your friendly and approachable personality to recruit and develop your serving team to foster capabilities that emphasize hospitality behaviors such as a positive attitude, commitment to teamwork, mutuality, and bringing your best self to work every day. Under your leadership, the team will need you to instruct and coach them in order to provide professional, courteous, and timely dining experiences to residents, their guests, and visitors so that all are enjoying a pleasant, comfortable, and satisfying meal. Unlike the hustle and bustle of standard restaurants, ours provides more of a set schedule (without the late-night hours) and offers you the ability to connect with residents every day. You will need to engage our residents and get to know them, as one of your primary responsibilities is to further create a sense of community within the campus. RiverWoods Durham will be home to many events, private functions, and special occasions for both our team and residents. The ideal candidate will be able to plan, coordinate, and execute all dining events, including monthly themed events for residents, marketing functions, resident parties, and catered occasions in conjunction with the culinary operations team. will help to engage our guests to create an inviting meal experience with a pleasant ambiance. Additionally, you will need to develop and implement a process for resident, guest, and staff feedback regarding dining service performance. You will need to be able to evaluate the information, create actionable solutions, and communicate the results with the community. Use your organizational skills to ensure routine operational activities are completed and done so timely, such as scheduling, appropriate resident meal accounting, point of sale management, and inventory management.
