Director of EVS would ensure that our guests and staff have a clean and comfortable environment. This position is responsible for overseeing the flawless execution of the day-to-day operation of the Environmental Services Department, leading and developing the EVS team members, ensuring cleanliness standards are applied consistently in all areas and guest requests and expectations are met and exceeded II. Effectively leads, manages and supports the EVS team in the day to day operations Effectively communicate the service vision, values and standards, and influence all levels within the organization Supports the staff in developing strategies to accomplish objectives approved by ownership and oversees implementation in partnership with Live Casino & Hotel leadership teams Daily property assessments for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service levels through team member education, training and coaching opportunities, risk assessment, and work order submissions Resolves customer complaints to ensure optimal guest experience Ensure that all team members consistently meet all standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the department Ensures proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, confirming complete training for team members is provided and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with federal, state, local, and enterprise regulations Ensures proper knowledge and training for team members on products and methods for cleaning of different surfaces To support a positive work environment for all associates Ensure the highest level of safety standards and practices for the benefit of the team and guest service Plans work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered Assists in the hiring and performance management processes of team members (interviews, hiring, training, termination, corrective action notices, and performance reviews) To ensure cost controls are in place To effectively monitor the preventative Maintenance program throughout the Hotel and Casino Assists in the supervisory function of linen distribution and collection Coordination of outside services (i.e. Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical and Solid Waste, Document Destruction, and Recycling program, linen distribution and collection) Attends external memberships and networking to further enhance products and service offered by Live. Other duties as assigned IV. Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities). Minimum of five (5) years of EVS experience, depending upon formal degree or training. Osha certified. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. Experience with P&L accountability highly desirable. Contract-managed service experience is desirable. Attention to detail and problem solving. Ability to meet deadlines and work with multiple projects in an interruptive atmosphere. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Candidate must have excellent time management skills. Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. Excellent customer services, verbal and written communication skills. Perform other duties as requested by leadership. Able to create, read and evaluate reports and generate correspondence and statistical reports Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel V. Educational Requirements. B.S. Degree in related field or related experience required. VI. Physical Requirements. Must be able to sit (stand) for long periods of time Must be able to lift to 10-15 (60-80) pounds Must be able to obtain and maintain gaming license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery & Gaming Control Agency.
