OverviewIntergenerational Program Assistants (IPAs) will help to implement and support weekly activities program for elders in senior housing. This is an opportunity for creative, outgoing and self-motivated youth to help prevent loneliness and isolation among older adults and to help LBFE shape our emerging youth opportunities. IPAs will be placed at a T-accessible elder building in a Boston neighborhood and will engage with residents and create a schedule of weekly activities. IPAs will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with elders and gain insight into the challenges older adults with limited incomes face. IPAs will be responsible for tracking and reporting program attendance and will be able to help develop evaluation tools and program documentation. There will also be opportunities to participate in other LBFE events as appropriate.
